Guide curated and reviewed byMark Barclay

Before you start

  • A clear business goal for the quarter
  • 3–5 topic pillars your audience cares about

Tools you'll use

  • SynaBot
  • Notion
  • Semrush

Steps

  1. 1

    Write the business goal

One sentence: what does content need to deliver this quarter? Sign-ups, MQLs, brand lift, retention.

  2. 2

    Feed in the topic pillars

3–5 topic pillars your audience cares about. If you don't know them, run keyword research first.

  3. 3

Ask for a monthly theme structure

Prompt: "Build a 90-day content calendar organized by monthly theme. For each week, propose one long-form piece, three social posts, and one email."

  4. 4

    Cross-check with SEO opportunity

For each long-form piece, check search volume and difficulty. Swap in higher-opportunity terms where you can.

  5. 5

    Assign owners and dates

Move the calendar into your PM tool with owners and publish dates. Unassigned plans do not ship.

What you'll have at the end

A 90-day content calendar with themes, formats, owners and dates — ready to work from.
