Before you start

  • 3 direct competitors
  • Their public pages

Tools you'll use

  • SynaBot
  • Semrush

Steps

  1. 1

    Pick 3 direct competitors

Not 15. Not aspirational brands. The 3 whose customers you are actively winning or losing.

  2. 2

Give the assistant a research brief

Prompt: "For [Competitor], produce a teardown: (1) positioning, (2) pricing, (3) top 5 features, (4) target customer, (5) messaging strengths, (6) obvious weaknesses."

  3. 3

Paste their homepage, pricing page and top blog post

Grounded research beats guessed research. Never let AI make claims about a competitor without primary sources.

  4. 4

    Build a comparison grid

Ask the assistant to output the same fields for all three competitors as a table.

  5. 5

    Extract your unfair advantage

"Given this teardown, where is our positioning strongest vs weakest? Suggest three angles we should own."

What you'll have at the end

A three-competitor teardown with a positioning grid and three angles to own.
