Before you start

  • A clear role brief with owner, scope and must-haves

Tools you'll use

  • SynaBot
  • ChatGPT

Steps

  1. 1

    Write the role brief

In 5 bullet points: title, what they'll own, who they report to, must-have skills, deal-breakers.

  2. 2

    Ask for a structured JD

Prompt: "Turn this brief into a job description with: About the role (100 words), What you'll do (5 bullets), What we're looking for (must-haves and nice-to-haves), Compensation, About us (60 words)."

  3. 3

    Rewrite the "About us" paragraph

Nothing screams template like a generic "About us." Write yours by hand or paste in a version you like.

  4. 4

    Ask for an inclusion review

Prompt: "Rewrite this JD to remove gendered language, unnecessary requirements, and any language that would discourage under-represented candidates."

  5. 5

    Add salary

Post the range. It is table stakes now and it filters mismatches out at the top of the funnel.

What you'll have at the end

A published-quality job description with a clean structure and salary transparency.
