How to write cold email that actually gets replies with AI

Use AI where it helps (research, personalization, follow-ups) and keep humans where they matter (the offer and the pitch).

Before you start

  • A list of 25 highly relevant prospects
  • A tested cold email template

Tools you'll use

  • SynaBot
  • Instantly
  • HubSpot

Steps

  1. 1

    Pick a tight target list

AI cannot save a bad list. Start with 25 highly relevant prospects — better one great fit than 500 lukewarm ones.

  2. 2

    Write the body yourself

Write one email body: 4 short sentences, one clear ask. This is the template you'll personalize.

  3. 3

Ask the assistant for a personal opener

For each prospect, paste their LinkedIn or website. Prompt: "Write one sincere opening sentence referencing something specific they're doing."

  4. 4

    Generate three follow-ups

Ask for three variants: short bump, value-add (share a resource), and a polite breakup message.

  5. 5

    Track and iterate

Log reply rate per opener style. Kill patterns that don't work; double down on ones that do.

What you'll have at the end

A five-touch cold email sequence with personalized openers, ready to send.
